May 2026 – Mastermind Update
Leading with Purpose: Data Informed Decision Making to Elevate Student Achievement

During this Mastermind gathering, school leaders explored how to transform data from a compliance-driven task into a meaningful tool for mission-driven leadership. Through engaging discussion and collaboration, participants reflected on how formative assessments, progress monitoring, and summative assessments can provide a clearer picture of student growth and instructional effectiveness. Leaders examined practical ways to use data proactively to support individual students, strengthen communication with parents and stakeholders, and create systems that foster both accountability and encouragement for staff. The session challenged participants to think strategically about how data can serve as a “flashlight” rather than a “hammer,” ultimately helping schools cultivate a culture of growth, transparency, and purposeful leadership.
