April 2026 – Mastermind Update
Instructional Support and Coaching
Megan Stecher
The April Mastermind session centered on strengthening instructional leadership through intentional time use and practical coaching strategies. Megan Stecher led EdLeaders through an exploration of what it means to lead as an instructional leader, identifying the core responsibilities that most directly impact teaching and learning while distinguishing them from urgent but less essential tasks. Through a time audit and the use of tools like the Eisenhower Matrix, participants reflected on how their current schedules reveal what their leadership is truly protecting. The session also introduced actionable practices such as learning walks and strengths-based classroom visits, equipping leaders with simple, consistent ways to be present in classrooms, observe instructional patterns, and support teacher growth. Participants left with greater clarity on prioritizing instructional leadership and concrete systems to more effectively align their time, focus, and leadership impact.
