SUMMARY:February 26 - EdLeader Collaborative
DESCRIPTION:VIEW THE AGENDA \nCost: $70Location: Continua\, 9800 8th Ave N\, Plymouth\, MN 55441 \nThis Year’s Theme:\n#PowerofTogether: United in Purpose\, Strengthened by Community \nGathering is one of the most common experiences in every school\, yet its influence on learning is often overlooked. Join us at our next Collaborative event where we’ll be hearing from Jill Ackers\, Director of Education with VS America on creating spaces that enhance learning environments. This session explores how the ways people come together in a space can strengthen engagement\, connection\, and the overall feel of a campus down to the classroom. When environments support movement\, communication\, and belonging\, students and educators experience an ease and sense of joy that elevates daily learning. \nParticipants will reflect on how space shapes culture\, how simple spatial decisions can enhance teaching practices\, and how campuses can become places that feel alive with purpose. The session opens a fresh way of thinking about environments as part of the instructional story and invites deeper curiosity about what becomes possible when gathering is designed with intention. \nBring a friend! For every colleague you bring who is new to The Collaborative\, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a helicopter ride for two! The winner will be drawn at the end of this event! \nA HUGE thank you to our sponsors ATSR and Continua Interiors. \n \n \nWhat is The Collaborative? The Collaborative is a half-day event designed for Christian educators in Minnesota to connect\, learn\, and engage in meaningful collaboration. This gathering brings together school leaders who share a commitment to faith-based education\, offering a space for networking\, professional development\, and discussions on the most pressing topics in Christian education. \nWhat to Expect: \n\nNetworking & Connection – Meet and engage with other Christian education leaders who share your mission and challenges.\nInteractive Workshops & Presentations – Gain practical insights and strategies from experts in education\, leadership\, and spiritual development.\nKeynote Speakers – Learn from thought leaders who will share wisdom on faith-centered leadership and education.\nEarn CEUs – Attendees will receive CEUs to support their professional growth.\n\nWhy Attend?Christian school leadership is a calling\, but it doesn’t have to be a journey taken alone. The Collaborative provides an opportunity to grow\, reflect\, and build lasting connections with peers. Leave equipped with new ideas\, strengthened by shared experiences\, and encouraged to lead your school with clarity and confidence. \nWe hope to see you there!

SUMMARY:November Alliance Defending Freedom Lunch & Learn
DESCRIPTION:Who can I hire? Religious Liberty in Employment\nFeaturing: Patrick Piccolo of Alliance Defending Freedom\nHosted by: The Collaborative\nDate: Wednesday\, November 4\, 2026\nTime: 12:00–12:30 PM\nLocation: via Zoom (https://zoom.us/j/93881080488) \nThere is a popular adage that says “personnel is policy.” This may be even more true in the context of Christian Education. Schools and stakeholders see teachers\, administrators\, and other staff as the living curriculum. Teachers and staff are commissioned with forming young hearts and minds\, both academically and spiritually\, including through curricular content and personal examples. This often requires mission alignment between employees and the school. But it also gives rise to legal questions: who can I hire? What questions can I ask in an interview or application? And what religious liberties safeguard my ability to develop and implement faith-based employment policies? The legal landscape is evolving\, and new cases continue to clarify the parameters of the law. In this Lunch & Learn\, we will survey core religious liberties available to Christian schools\, including their scope and application\, and discuss emerging statutory trends and case law.
