Schools and stakeholders see teachers\, administrators\, and other staff as the living curriculum. Teachers and staff are commissioned with forming young hearts and minds\, both academically and spiritually\, including through curricular content and personal examples. This often requires mission alignment between employees and the school. But it also gives rise to legal questions: who can I hire? What questions can I ask in an interview or application? And what religious liberties safeguard my ability to develop and implement faith-based employment policies? The legal landscape is evolving\, and new cases continue to clarify the parameters of the law. In this Lunch & Learn\, we will survey core religious liberties available to Christian schools\, including their scope and application\, and discuss emerging statutory trends and case law.
